Spring Kiddings!
Wrapping up the first week of June
Our does will start kidding is mid-March this year. We are excited to see what kind of conformation improvements will result from these kiddings. To know who was paired with who check out our Fall Breeding page!

Goat Spa Day
Late April/Early May
This particular spa day will involve trimming the hooves of all of our producing does, copper bolusing, and disbudding for the little ones. Which in hind sight does not sound very relaxing.
2025 Linear Appraisal
2025
Our farm is working towards hosting a Linear Appraisal stop in 2025. We hope to have our first keeper does evaluated alongside their dams to see what improvements our bucks threw to them, and what still needs to be worked on. At the moment we are analyzing the available LA scores for related goats in our herds' pedigrees. We cannot wait to learn more about how our current herd goals are maturing. Milk Testing Preparation
2024
Our herd goals include getting ready to milk test in order to start getting our girls their milk stars. 2024 will be the year we work on learning about how to milk test properly, finding a second party willing to help with two of the tests during the 2024 season, and acquiring an appropriate scale. I do not think we will be prepared in time to start in March of 2023 but I cannot wait to learn more about the process. Stay tuned for blog posts associated with this journey!
